Living with the COVID-19 Pandemic
As I look out of my office window this morning, March 23, it is a cold winter morning. It is snowing heavily in Litchfield, Connecticut. There is very little traffic on the streets. At another time I would probably complain about the snow on the ground at this time of the year. But today I am not complaining. In fact, I am deeply grateful just to be alive, with my beautiful wife Deborah and our sweet dog Muchroi. I am grateful that our son Rob and his wife Kyra are just down the street in their home with our two precious granddaughters, Ella and Hollis.
No. I am not complaining. When I read what is happening in China, Italy and Spain, where so many have died and so many are suffering, I can only hope and pray that we can all survive together as a family. It is a time when we should take nothing for granted, and should count every day our blessings. Life truly is a gift to be appreciated and lived fully each day.
